Tuesday July 27th
Mark Farina
(Great Lakes, Om Records, San Francisco)
With Wobs & Derek Dunbar
This Tuesday is going to be a HUGE night with house legend - Mark Farina! Get your presale tickets now (prices go up each day). Making a name for himself mainly as a DJ, Mark Farina has had a large hand in the building of San Francisco's house music scene. Originally from Chicago, Farina is in the same generation of Chicago house music legends Derrick Carter and Cajmere. Mostly associated with the Mushroom Jazz series of releases, Farina is known for his down-tempo but dancefloor-friendly style of mixing jazz, house, and hip-hop. This event is going to be incredible. You Truly do NOT want to miss this.
See You Tuesday!

I enjoyed Mark Farina's fabric live even though I only got to listen to it half way in the car right after I grabbed it like a bird and prey out of Sound Garden at Fells Point in Baltimore Maryland. Like that mix, I defintly would agree that House of Om is not one of his greatest. I don't know why, but don't seem to get as much out of completely listening to Mark's House of OM.
