Um did I miss something? Is this the reincarnation of platipus?

Yeah I was wondering the same a few weeks ago. AFAIK platipus folded and according to J00F it was a conscoius decision by Simon so he could conentrate on producing. Perhaps Porcupine is just a place holder set up by Simon where the rights to the Platipus back catalogue has been transfered while the old label went the way of the dodo. Freeing up the possibility of re-releaseing all old stuff digitally with a minimal of the fuss required to run a preoper label?
At least the name implies a connection of some sort
Anyhoo, I'm glad that particular catlogue is in the digital realm proper now. So much good stuff there :) |
