Lost? Er, alright, I'll keep that in mind
Shameless bump for more feedback before I take it down. |

hey allthough epic trance is not my cup of tea, i still enjoyed the music you wrote, however, i dont exactly agree on this mix, and is muddy and harsh at times, but i guess thats the name of the game with this type of trance.
is immersiv doing a mixdown of this? i would like to hear that. |

I honestly never understand what people say when a track is muddy. Are you expecting a perfectly clean, crisp sound with the kind of layering this track has? "Muddy" mixes seem to be something you should criticize tech or minimalist tracks for, not tracks meant to be as dense and as layered as this. Unless there's obvious problems that I just can't hear.
About the harshness I already addressed that, the main pad is just way too loud. Didn't realize it at first, it's more obvious with fresh ears now. SC didn't help much either.
Not to make excuses for my track or anything, though, I appreciate the feedback. |

untrue...
i get where you're coming from though, a lot of times sounds are masked and squashed and group bussed with white noise attached to it, it can be overwhelming.
just letting you know, it was uncomfortable for my ears listening to this mix. |

Heya dude,
Fantastic track there, and I really like where this is going. I do have to say that I agree with msz though. I do know what you mean in that you are never going to get the same clarity with this type of track as a minimal one, but I think that you can still do more in this one as the high end is still a little wild in my ears.
That said, in some weird instances I have heard arguments for both. Take Re:locate's track Waterfall. I own a copy of the original 12" from back in the day. This mix is a lot harsher on the ears than the CD release which came a few years later where you could tell that it had been remastered. I still prefer the original 12" is it has way more energy and the harsh high end is preferable to the loss of energy on the CD.
What I mean is, don't kill the energy by going mad trying to make it perfect, sometimes the captured emotion is the source of a tracks perfection and not the quality of the mix down.
I realise that I have probably just contradicted myself again so I will stop rambling.
Fantastic track my friend.
Any news on the previous one by the way?
Cheers

Nah it makes sense, and like I said, I already know what most of the problems are after listening to it so much, and mixing in the feedback. The arp isn't balanced with anything else near the end, especially the pads. As far as the build-up I really don't think I can make it any less muddy than it might already be, just because of the sheer amount of layering in it. I also can't stress how much SC butchered the upper ends, it sounds nothing like the full 320 render.
I'm still not sure what I want to do with September Love -- the next project I take on will probably be a rework of that. Once that's done we'll probably shop for labels for that one, but we'll keep you in mind. Thanks buddy. |

I'd be gloating over this one as well if I had made it! Wow, that is a fantastic track, guys! I left comments on SC, but overall this is worth many more listens. Gorgeous melodies in this track!

Great track guys
Melody wise its very solid, and i like the chord progression.
The breakdown is rediculous. Just great. Really impressed with this track. So many really nice elements.
As said the higher mids are a tad strong but the track is very enjoyable |

I already posted that I liked this before, but the more I listen to this track, the more I like it. It's got so much subtlety that I missed on the first and second listens that really drew me into it. This track gets my rare nod on facebook.
Again, nice work. |

Thanks a ton Eddie, I appreciate it. Glad you picked up on the subtleties, this is definitely a track that needs a few listens to take all the layering in.
