Detroit's Electronic Scene? Does it exist?

Hi everyone. I just moved to Michigan from Connecticut for school. I have been in the area for about 4 weeks and have been looking for good places to hear electronic music (house, electro, dubstep). You guys have one of the biggest electronic festivals in the country. There has got to be a scene the other 363 days of the year. I went to La Dolce Vita one Tuesday night and it was a lot of fun; a very European vibe.

Please tell me a place to go where I am not going to hear a "techno" remix of Journey or Katy Perry mashed up with David Guetta, where people just want to go to dance and hear good chunes, no bottles and models.

Helppppppppppp

Bleu on WoodWard a few blocks down is re-opening in Sept, they will be doing EDM shows as well...
Olso, across the street is a sushi restaurant, and do occasional EDM shows...
The Works on Michigan Ave does EDM shows...

there are a few places that do random events...
i have a few upcoming shows listed in my sig as well...

you can try DetroitLuv.com as well... they list shows as well...
but be warned, they HATE the trance/house/electro scene... dont go on there saying you do... haha...
