It really is hard to say. I mean it isn't like they have this incident every single year or many problems in the past. These things even happen at concerts and those don't stop.
I think that Europe is a little more relaxed about things, had this been something that happened here... we won't be having them anymore.
But now wasn't Love Parade put on hold a few years back where they didn't have the event? Why was that? |

Organizers said that because of the circumstances, this was the last Love Parade. :( They try to make themselves look good after what happened, even though after the deaths they told the DJ's to keep playing music like nothing happened.

I agree, the message they relayed caused worry and panic as people turn around and started pushing. That was the fatal error - you dont take a loudspeaker and yell for a huge crowd of people to move their asses in a emergency tone of voice. Those who organized it are also at fault ... ONLY ONE entrance to the event, with over 1.4 million in attendance? A bit ridiculous, I'd say. Poor planning. |

| What an unbeliveable tragedy. It is hard to wrap your head around the panic and fear that people in that tunnel experienced. I feel ill just thinking about it. |

That's a really good thing that they told the DJ's to keep playing, cause if they were gonna stop the music and say 18 people got killed on the PA then there will be another mass panic. Imagine cutting off the music prematurely with 1.4 million people around. |

if it happened in North America then you probably wouldn't see another love parade held here but I think Europe will be a little more tolerant |
