This might not be the best forum because of the song type (non-trance) but any and all critique is welcome. I am still learning how to properly mix/master, so any hints and tips would be helpful :)

Hey, fellow ambient producer here. Far too few of us on TA.

I liked them both, first was very dissonant and kind of creepy. Really picks up in the second half with that off-kilter beat. The second one had some great distortion stuff in the first bit and neat phasey synths.

Since you're looking for mixing and mastering tips, I think your tracks both sounded a bit muddy in the mid range and used a bit much compression. IMO one of the fun aspects of ambient over dance production is that you can make freer use of dynamics, since it is primarily "listening music" that doesn't have to drown anything out. Changing dynamics can prompt an emotional response just in themselves.

Sorry for the late response, I try to catch every ambient / experimental thing that passes through here, but sometimes a few slip by me.
