wasaga beach?? EDM?

i haven't been in a few years out to Wasaga at night,
does anyone still know if its the same old bananas/ dard night life? ??
is there anything else new? or edm focused there?

Having said that, a weekend there costs almost as much as a week in cuba! |

It's the same as it always was, the bars/clubs are playing the same commercially pop stuff with the odd EMD track in-between. They tried to bring the EDM scene there last summer and had several bigger names like Benny Benassi and Deadmau5 play, but unfortunately it was a really crappy summer and crowds weren't what was expected so the owners didn't do the same type deal with T.O. promoters this year.
I also heard that they just lost the liquor license in the dome, so there goes that as a venue too (too many underage kids caught drinking and booze being sold after hours apparently). |

it also doesnt fit in with the condo plans up there.
Why would they want clubs? It would make burning down the old shopping district a waste of time! |

Well, I was booked to play in the Dome last month too but it got cancelled last minute because of the liquor issue. That was supposed to be a "till 6am" event too.
Hopefully this one has better luck! |
