Samsung 58-inch Plasma TV
(got it last Thursday but haven't watched anything on it yet, as the bf refuses to view anything on it until it has been "calibrated"
... whatever the that means) |
You may want to let Marc know that it's generally recommendable to watch the TV for approx 100 hours prior to it being calibrated... I'm not sure exactly why that is though. |

There's no reason to calibrate an unused plasma. He should have it running a break-in disc for 150 hours or so, before any use and/or calibration.
Tell him to stop being a n00b. Click. |
The colors change over that first period of use, while the gas starts to etch away at the panel. LCDs don't change, so it doesn't matter for those. The reason to wait on those, though, is also to make sure you don't have dead or stuck pixels before you pay somebody to calibrate the display. |

I appreciate that, thank you. |

FL plane tickets are a rip-off. The price for now is around $1,350.
.
Does anyone know where I can get some reasonable prices online?
Much appreciated.
Edit: I would be departing from Toronto and landing in Orlando. Ideally sometime next week. |
