Twenty million people are homeless after Pakistan's worst flooding in decades. Over 2000 people have died as a result and aid workers have warned that diseases could raise that toll. Hundreds of thousands of homes have been destroyed and many flood victims are living in muddy camps or overcrowded government buildings. Thousands more are sleeping in the open next to whatever possessions they managed to drag with them.
These people need your help now more than ever. As far as natural disasters go the repercussions of the floods in Pakistan have encompassed the numbers of those affected by the Haiti Earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, Asian Tsunami and any other disaster in recent history. Your contribution can make an immediate difference in the lives of people who are in dire circumstances.
