I'd much rather see Voorn in Toronto on that day time boat party..
how come Montreal doesn't have any wicked day time boat parties? The only one I know of is MEG, and it's pretty weak. I went last year to see the LA Riots, boarding was at 11:30 but the boat was open for boarding at like 10, most DJs spinning to a handfull of people because everyone only showed up at 11:30. At 1:30am about 20 minutes from docking the captain of the boat came and walked up to the DJ booth and litterally pulled the plug so for 20 minutes people just stood around waiting to arrive. Pathetic.. sorry for the OT post. |

That's how most boat parties are unfortunately. People show up at the last second, delaying departure. Noise ordinances prevent music from being played on the boat when it's close to shore. I would love to see some decent boat parties in Mtl. I'm sure it has been looked into, I'm just curious what the obstacles are.

We have piknic and Beachclub...so I guess there is no urgency to organise other outdoor events in town for the moment. One problem with boat parties is the fact that you HAVE to be there at a certain time and HAVE to stay until the end. One thing I personally hate about boat parties is the fact that if something goes wrong, where do you go?? You jump in the st-laurence?
Joris at circus should be huge! Will he spin in the Playroom (old hip hop room)? I love that room! Bodzin was huge in there last Friday. |

Cause it's MAD expensive if you're entertaining the idea of flying an
international act for it. I've done the math many times and can't wrap
my head around charging $60 - 80 admission for just 3 or 4 hours of music. |

I'm pretty sure he'll play in the Main Room. I like it better than the play room |

| The sound and lighting is better in the main but there is something about the play room that I really like. It has this darker, more industrial warehouse look. With the proper visuals in there and a packed room you can have a hell of a vibe. |
