Although this made me laugh, this transformation wasn't sudden. BT's career is more like Jeff Goldblum in The Fly - slowly and inevitably mutating into something unrecognisably hideous, initially resistant to the change, but slowly, surely becoming content with its own monstrous destination. This Binary Universe was that moment when his humanity suddenly, temporarily returned as he realised he was having a son, and These Hopeful Machines is the telepod in which he's now forcefully trapped those glitch effects and fused them with himself to create one lurching telespliced super monster. Which has now been cloned and remixed. Nine ing times. |

100%... actually there are virtually no producers out there, that have full artistic freedom over a remix.
I think Joris Voorn is one of the happy few that has it as a clause in his contracts. It is also not something you can get very easily, labels want to be involved all the time, at least for the more commercially inclined releases like this |

The way I saw it was This Binary Universe was a glimmer (or glitch) of false hope in a swirling cesspool of surrealist doom. Which is something that would have had Kafka in stitches.
Was unaware of The Fly. Will check out. |

| It's a hell of a film. References Kafka at a couple of points, too. It's the classic "fall of a flawed genius" story, rendered in the most shockingly gruesome but painfully emotional manner. |

| original, kearley, and hammock mixes sound alright. would probably be a lot better if they chose different remixers and allowed for less vocals. |
