As a producer, singer, MC… scratch that. As an entertainer, Don Diablo has been making some extreme waves ever since inking a deal with Sony in 2008. He worked on the Public Enemy “Bring the Noise/Give it Up” remix project with Ferry Corsten and Benny Benassi. Benny ended up winning a Grammy for the remix.
Some cool facts about Don Diablo:
He works alone in the studio… because he prefers to work in the nude. That’s right, homeboy sits in front his mixer butt ass naked and produces MONSTERS (no pun intended!!)
He won the award for “Best Dressed Man of the Year” in 2007 by Esquire Magazine.
If you want to buy him a drink while he’s spinning make sure it’s milk. That’s all he drinks during a performance!!
MTV shot a documentary on Don’s work for Dance4Life, a UN sponsored campaign to fight against HIV and AIDS in Africa.
And now you know… Slick like a gato, straight outta GQ, a humanitarian and wild ass electro-hop master. See you on Thursday!!!!
I love trance. love it love it love it. but I have to say, this guy Don Diablo might be the next big thing in music, period. Not sure but like... he produces rock and hip-hop in Holland, he's got a new track coming out with Diplo, he's a workaholic, and he seems really super genuine.
And I just don't know if it's cheese he's making here or if he's just producing alternative house music. Maybe this is some ol' new other . But it's unique. I sort of compared it to a cross between chuckie, nirvana, mgmt and kanye but its so much better than that. I dunno. Im intrigued is the point
