The Varsity crew is headed back to Chicago to bring the All-Stars together for one more epic day-to-night/ indoor-outdoor party!! The first one kicked off the summer in proper form at Green Dolphin with Lee Burridge. Dust off those pom-poms and gear-up for what promises to be yet another memorable event!
Gracing the decks for the MVP sundown set this time around will be none other than Detroit native and Berlin transplant Seth Troxler!! Seth’s career began at the tender age of 16, landing frequent gigs at the infamous Motor City nightclub The Works, as well as schooling himself whilst killing time working at Detroit’s Melodies and Memories record store. Surrounded by techno history and coupled with his insatiable desire for quality productions and a great party, Seth was able to create a name for himself, not to mention carve out his own personal style, never afraid to mix genres or challenge the floor. After successful national bookings at The EndUp, Fuse and the DEMF, it wasn’t long before he took his show on the road, spreading his sound across the globe with gigs at Fabric, Panorama Bar and Watergate to name a few. In his most recent chapter, Seth has entered the studio and has had many successful releases on a slew of labels including Spectral, M_Nus, Bpitch Control and Wagon Repair among others. With a reputation that precedes him, and always in search of the perfect event, Varsity Allstars is an ideal platform for Seth to display his talents and treat Chicago to his unique stylings.
Varsity Captain, former Chicagoan and current San Francisco resident Mike Khoury will be hand overseeing the ceremonies, making sure the tone is wonky and the vibe is contagious. listed resident and NYC native Naveen G will be making his return to Chicago’s Varsity Allstars since 2008, dropping progressive bombs and weaving sounds via his distinct artistic approach that cannot be resisted. Also on tap over the course of the day are local heroes Jason Patrick, Nate Manic and Phillip Stone among many, many more! This twelve-hour celebration kicks off at noon and will include an indoor and outdoor arena, a BBQ pit, sand volleyball courts, plenty of grassy areas to lounge and world-class music.
