Is buying a MAC (Snow Leopard) instead of a PC really worth it? Why?

Im gonna buy a new computer and was wondering if you can give some clear examples of what makes a mac with snow leopard that much better then a pc with windows xp or 7? Is it really worth paying a bit more for a mac.. WHY??

| But seriously.. i watched alot of youtube videos showing snow leopard and to be honnest it doesn't look that much different from windows 7 i think.. so which are the real advantages of getting a mac then? |

If you are in video production, music production, or design you almost certainly are required to have a mac.
I really doubt that you are though so just go to the store and use both. Buy which ever one you like more :o |

+ They run quicker and you don't need to worry about viruses. I've been using a mac for years and never had a problem with my computer getting infected.
In addition the imac cuts down on the clutter, really an amazing example of simplicity.
I do video so its a must. |

in FINDER you have on the left apparently something called PLACES
is it possible to add your own folders to this PLACES list or is this fixed? |
