This is actually a bit embarassing for him, as it should be. Obviously this didn't come out of nowhere, he must've had signs, constant tiredness, etc. etc. etc. In certain jobs, people like that can really hurt someone else.
He needs to come up with a better management system for his around-the-year neverending gigs and almost weekly flights around the globe. Its not all about the money, he needs to understand ... eventually people will break, burn out ... the guy found out the hard way, and his fans are paying the price.
Now he needs reality check. Step back, take a break, and hire a professional to watch his ass before he hurts himself.

I don't think it's his aspiration for money, it's management and labels, once you sign those contracts, you're a puppet and do what they say.
No he is probably worn the out, he's playing all these arena shows just like a rockstar and doing all this PR and publicity events and appearances during the day, PLUS the hassles of traveling...
But signing a contract with big name labels and management.... u might as well be signing a contract with the devil....

Shouldn't have been signing those contracts then, should he? It's not as if you don't have a choice in which contracts you sign or even the terms of those contracts.
