Visiting London this Summer, help!

My best friend and I will be visiting London from our homes in Seattle, WA on August 1-14th. I was hoping to get some advice on cool places, like clubs, places to shop, hang out, etc. Most of the stuff I found on-line only covers the main tourist areas. I was hoping to find a little more. =) We'll be staying in central London, but we'll most likely travel outside the city a lot, too.
I was also wondering if there's any good parties going on while we're there. We both really love trance...mostly progressive and hard trance. I'm also a total goa/psytrance freak, heh. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! Or if any of you feel like getting together with a couple trancewhores from the west coast, let me know! :D
