Any photographer that could explain how this was taken/possible?

"The shot was created with a pair of Sony A900 cameras, fitted with 400mm lenses. The cameras were mounted to a rotating robot which pounded the shutter button for two days. The images were then processed over another two days. The end result is a 200 GB file." -

I still don't get it. The camera and lenses look like something everyone would have access to. How come they managed to take such huge pictures with sick zoom capabilities?

Hey! I ing went to public school and ing well know that Hungry is the capital of Budapest which is right next to Europe and France.
