Hey guys, I recently finished my first trance track with FL Studio and am looking for some feedback/criticism. Thanks!

Hey, glad to see you're giving trance production a shot. I'd suggest using Soundcloud for uploading, though, it's what most of us use and you can embed uploads directly into your posts:

I think the bass that layers in is a bit too loud, but for a first attempt this is really rather good musically and I've heard worse production from people who've been at it for months. Melodically it's kind of all over the place, it's hard to follow, and the build out of the breakdown definitely could have used more energy, but other than that this is a solid attempt. Good work.

lol, another TA regular from around the NJ area uses the moniker "blueshift" too. check him out on beatport haha

Thanks for the comments Kysora. Is there anything in particular that you would suggest to make the song easier to follow?

@Omega_Blue
Actually Blueshift is the name of the track, I'm still struggling to come up with an alias haha
Tomas Klein
haha I thought Blueshift was your alias too... funny. track doesn't sound too shabby for a first try. Can't give you many tips from my ty headphones at work, but keep at it!

I enjoyed what you did with the lead synth. The bass line is where my major hang up is with this track.I would have loved to hear it with moar jumpy sound.The whole soung sound amped up but the sound selection of the bass kinda makes it feel a bit lackluster. Other than that i did like it. thank you =)

Really impressive for a first attempt. I agree about the bass. The sound really doesn't mesh well with the feel of the track, and its also somewhat overpowering.

Id suggest checking out reFX Vanguard. Can make some pretty good basslines with that.

Keep up the good work!
