Deadmau5 collapses onstage (pg. 2)

Oakenfold used to tour over 150 times per year for multiple years and he was quite older than deadmouse. I am not buying the exhaustion excuse. Those of you who have a full time job and work physically know blaming exhaustion is a joke. The guy probably spends a maximum of 8 hours per week behind his "turntables"

Sorry, not buying it.

He's either a complete idiot and doesn't know how to stay healthy (and I wish natural selection would have been more stern with this incident)
or he took too much of whatever he was putting in his body.

Trust me. I'm a Registered Nurse, I have DJ'd for 10 plus years, granted to smaller crowds, but for equal lengths of time and the same amounts of heat. (Gets hot outside in the Summer, especially this year)

Come clean Joel.

I'd argue two things here. Just for s and giggles.

Oakey back in the day had to mix song A into song B and it was regarded great. Track selection was where it was at and I'm not denying he had to work hard but I personally believe dj's like deadmau5 work a little harder behind the stage. Yes, he's pushing a load of buttons but there's more going on in his set.

He is, by his own choice no less, wearing a mouse helmet which no doubt will have some kind of refrigerator built into it in the next model he makes. That helmet can't be helping him.

Anyway, secondly I think comparing his job to lets say a labourer or someone else who works in a physical job isn't fair. My whole point above was that the jet setting life is what wears you down. It's not so much the performance but the random sleeping patterns. The lack of regular meals and regular intervals. The fact you're probably constantly run down and always under pressure.

Working on a site (for example) is tough, but you've got a support network there where when in need someone else can come along and give you a hand finishing something off. He's a one man show (excluding managers and booking staff/marketing crew etc).

I know what you're saying and again no doubt he's just been partying too hard but I think it is a tough lifestyle, even if you didn't drink or take drugs.

There's a picture of him in the CoR where his teeth are a little more (yellow).

If you've seen that picture, the above sentence makes sense. Anyone who has kissed that man should be legally required to have a tattoo signifying as much. It's disgusting.

Thats exactly what I thought.

And now we know why he wears the mouse head :/

I don't know, I kind of have a hard time believing that is a real picture of him, but I don't really have any evidence that it is not. If it is real, that's one busted grill!
