Hi All,

I thought this might be of interest to some of the producers here:

In collaboration with dm Szab, we are proud to present the most definitive Novation V-Station soundset yet.

Produced by dm Szab (Adam Van Baker), David Michael Sherlock (Sprirt & Dave/Groove Mafia) and Wim Van Gelder (Icone/Van Gelder), this Soundset includes over 330+ club orientated patches, covering a wide range of musical genres.

Featuring a combination of new and original patches and also recreations of popular sounds used by artists like Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, DJ Tisto, Super8 & Tab, Above & Beyond, Nitrous Oxide, W&W, Eric Prydz, Paul Van Dyk, Sunny Lax, Activa and many others! This really is the first Soundset to push V-Station where it has never been before.

Unlike other soundsets currently available, we provide the original files used to create the demonstration files, which give you an excellent educational tool for learning how to get the most out of the sounds included in the Soundset and inspiration for composing your own melodies.

Soundset properties:

- 100% royalty free;
- 330+ patches, sorted into well defined categories;
- Chart and club proven patches - ready to play;
- 115 FruityLoops Loop (.flp) files and MIDI files for all audio samples;
- Provided in FXB, FXP, FST, FLP and MIDI file formats for easy work flow and sequencer integration;
- Includes all content from Adam Van Baker's original V-Station Soundset package;
- Covers a wide range of genres from commercial to underground;
- Extensive use of V-Station's internal FX.

In short, the way a soundset should be.

Soundset library:

Patches:
- 13 Arp patches;
- 73 Bass patches;
- 38 FX patches;
- 120 Lead patches;
- 40 Pad patches;
- 48 Pluck patches;
- 4 Synth patches.

Other files:
- 115 FruityLoops Loop (.flp) files;
- 336 FL Studio channel state (.fst) files.

The Soundset can ordered on our new website, where you can download the files instantly after payment.

Everything you hear in audio samples is coming straight from the V-Station with no external processing at all. Only automation was used.

The only processing done is basic mastering on the main channel.

basic mastering on the main channel.

Is that with a limiter or just simple EQ?

Hi Eddie,

The individual Fruity Loops project files were rendered to wave files, then these files were joined together in SoundForge, where the basic mastering was applied. In this case just basic limiting was used.

Hi All,

I have uploaded a new zip file containing 'raw' audio examples from the V-Station Soundset package. You can download it here:

V-Station Definitive Collection (Extra Audio Samples)

Everything you hear in these mp3 files is contained in the full package (all patches, midi files, project files, etc). There is no processing at all on these samples, so you can really get a better idea of the included sounds in the Soundset.

No EQ, compression or limiting (or any kind of external processing) was used here. Just raw, rendered 320kbps mp3 files.

These audio examples weren't included in the original Audio Preview files (except the "Shadow Hearts" one).

Enjoy! :)

I could understand a little artistic compression being applied, but don't you think that rendering a file mixed to unity of -6db would allow for more headroom real-estate for the artist's use?

I'm not slamming the product. Just making a suggestion as to how it might be made a little more functional for producers who will likely be applying their own dynamics through mix-down and mastering processes.

Eddie, what are you on about.

He's applied compression to the audio samples. NOT the sounset for V-station that the customer will purchase.

You've just plain misunderstood him

How can he sell patches for v-station that have had mastering applied in soundforge?

They are patches, not audio samples ;)
