Welcome back to New York, Cosmic Gate fans will be looking forward to your to your massive return for the Electric Zoo Festival.
1) What new songs can fans expect to hear during the Electric Zoo Festival?
We think we will play a mixture of new stuff and classic tracks. What we will play for sure, is some brand new remixes from the soon to be released so called Deluxe Edition of our last album Sign Of The Times (the online release holds nearly 4 hours of Cosmic Gate Music, with all remixes from the ringles, plus 5 brand new hot remixes) e.g. the new much upcoming Russian producer Arty amazingly remixed our track F.A.V., and on top we think to play the new version of our classic Exploration of Space, we are def. looking forward to play this festival, we heard so much good things about it and can’t wait!
2) We know a new Cosmic Gate artist album is on the map after the summer, but everything has been kept in hush. Can you reveal more about it now?
First of all the Deluxe Edition of Sign of the Times will get released, after we start telling what will come after the summer, sorry to still keep you guys waiting, but we promise it will be worth
the waiting. :-)
3) Where do you guys draw ideas from when writing the new album?
For us the whole life we live is giving us inspiration, the traveling, gigs we play, people we meet, everything comes together when we are in the studio! Of course the current music is important too, but we always try to do things different for a new album, bring in influences from total different genres we like, we do not want to stand still, we like to push things forward to a new level and sound.
4) What are some of Cosmic Gate's greatest musical influences?
Our influences start in the 80s, all the music that was played back then, and from the mid 80s when first house tracks from Chicago and Acid took over, we were influenced the most from this Electronic music, and it was always like this since then!!!
5) Not much has been told and heard regarding the personal lives of Cosmic Gate. What do you guys do on your free time aside from music ?
Besides the fact that we have not a normal live at home during the weekend, the rare time that we have at home, we spend like most other people too, have time with the family, go to a nice restaurant, to the movies, or just relax and do nothing, watch tv, charging batteries for the next weekend again... :-)
6) Besides creating dance floor madness tunes, what other skills that you guys do best that no one knows yet?
Our best skills beside music are maybe in sport, specially football, but meanwhile we do not even have time to follow this hobby anymore...

8) What are some of Cosmic Gate's favorite DJs at the moment?
Hmm, tough question, the problem is, that we do not have a lot of time to listen to other djs, that’s why its hard to say who would get our buds on the floor, lol for sure there is a lot of young and new talent coming also in the trance scene that we have an eye on and push productions during our sets.
9) Having been in the electronic music dance scene for over a decade, what do you guys think will be the next hottest sound?
That`s a good question for sure, at the moment many things get mixed together, and we also think that in the future it will be like this, barriers are not existing anymore, people get more open and do not want to listen to the same music over and over again, lets see where all this will lead us too...
10) Do each of you have a home studio or do you guys have your studio elsewhere?
We do have a home studio, and that`s good, driving is killing too much time and also sometimes to go for only a few minutes and play a melody or something is a big advantage, when you can do this at home.
