Here's one of two songs that I'm putting the finishing touches on this weekend - this one's a sorta dreamy trance/pop track featuring and co-written by Heather Kelle. I figured I'd post it here for comments before we make the final tweaks and re-record a couple of the harmonies.
It's got a really swishy Anjuna quality about it, but it retains your ear for catchy pop tunes which most of the dancier tracks never have.
Brilliantly recorded vocals as usual. I have to confess that I think Heathers voice is probably better suited to what you do than the other vocalists you've used recently. Not to say that they were no good however! You know what I mean! :clown:
A very commercially viable track i'd say!

For what it's worth, this isn't a genre I'm familiar with, so please forgive my inexplicitness in advance!
I immediately noticed that this is quite a bit more energetic than most of your pop tunes. But it's a very fitting change that works really well with her voice. Man, I would absolutely love to remix this if you have no other plans with it. I have some really sweet possible ideas in my head.
Yet again, another appealing tune from you. I know lots of people could enjoy this one
Edit: I just noticed young Geoffrey hinting at a remix. Clear your throat, chap, and lets persuade Dave as a team.

Wow - thanks, guys! TBH, I had no idea what TAs would think of this track. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like Heather has a much more "feminine" characteristic to her singing and songwriting style than the other singers that I work with have, if that makes sense. I certainly don't mean that as a knock against the other singers, but I think that Heather brings out a different style in me than the other singers do, which keeps things much more interesting as far as I'm concerned.
Remixes, eh? You wouldn't have to twist my arm. ;)

I dont really like these kind of tracks, but this is sweet stuff bud.
I think you should tweak that vocal a bit more, it doesnt sound so ballanced in the start, later is fine tho.
Also, those break sweeps are quite bad i must say, find something more interesting, maybe you can fx/chop that vocal a bit better.
But overall as tehlord said, it can go straight to anjuna stuff...

Thanks again for the comments, guys! We made the final changes and we're calling this one done. I'll leave the draft version at soundcloud for now, but the new version can be heard at my and Heather's myspace pages.
i'd say this is one of your better mixdowns man. nice job, sounds good!

Damn, Dave!
You're on fire. Female vocal fire! It's this stream of them - bang, bang, bang.
The mix is lovely. You guys did a great job. Can't wait to hear the finished product.
Left comments on Soundcloud. Could only really say what I liked, as it is both quite good, as is, and the uncarved block, with the direction you could take it in.

Wow - thanks a LOT, msz, tehlord (again!), and Eddie! The response to this has been pretty positive and that makes me and (especially) Heather very happy, considering this is only our second completed track.
@Eddie - the final version is on my myspace (1st song).
We've already got more songs in the works and some nice remixes of this track on the way.

Don't typically listen to vocal trance too much either, but this is good stuff.
Good vocal selection for the ambience of the track...I like that range of female vocals the best. Good chorusing on it as well.
Not a fan of the percs, specifically the clap...can't really comment seeing as how it's soundcloud quality though...*shrug*
Gl on the track \o/

this is great quality man. superb work! really professional sounding, but yet still unique. the vocals are beautiful, but I have to agree that the clap needs a bit of work.. maybe put some more time into the percs
