some people may have family, employers, etc as their friends on facebook and don't want their buddies posting about how many drugs, drinks, and bitches were done the prior night for all to see. |
To go along with this many people use the same email for resumes and such that they associated with facebook. A quick search will tell a recruiter all they need to know to forward an applicant's resume to the round-brown filing cabinet that sits on the floor next to their desk.
I solved that issue by just creating a professional email address. |

facebook is serious biz niz. Remember the time Slyee had her silent meltdown and de-friended the entire COR. :stongue:
But seriously, we all need boundaries in our private life, I don't need family members viewing my shirtless photo session on the couch. |
But what would you consider more personal: access to all of one's photos, or their wall? |

That's entirely subjective based on the content of each. |

| there are a lot of creepy people that want to find out about your life and what you do ... to a point that it can be used against you. |

Highly doubtful considering the person I had in mind when I made this thread.
They've told me some pretty wild private stuff about themselves before in conversation, but won't let me see their wall. |
obvi their real lives are and boring and they want to seem exciting and mysterious to others |

Precisely.
I have a cousin who moved to the States from Morocco, he turned a complete manwhore and would post outrageous (by his family's standards) photos and status updates. Somehow his father saw it all and shipped him back to Morocco overnight. Now his wall/photos are disabled. What a dumbass.
I'm smart and have a second account specifically for family / family friends. :gsmile: |

That just means you fail at Facebook.
Step 1. Create group
Step 2. Put "undesirables" (family members, work colleagues, shlubs etc) in said group.
Step 3. Block group.
Step 4. Brag about STDs
Protip: Make a group with friends and block everyone except said group, and continue bragging about STDs. |
