Fantastic review . I was there and I can agree with every point you made. Guv is just a disaster and possibly the worst crowd I've ever seen in ages. 18 yr old bimbos high on cocaine pushing and shoving everyone on the patio..wow. last night sealed the deal for me for a long long time.

from the last few times I've been to guv I can honestly the guv now makes the CZ ten years ago look like a christian bible camp.

Hahaha.

I was going to come to this but was super exhausted and had a few pitchers uptown and saw Silva eek out a win against Sonner. :P

As for the reviews, I hear what you guys are saying, it's prob why I'm a bit disenfranchised w most trance djs lately.

Honestly though, the BEST trance set I've heard all year was Max Graham at FW...ing pure genius!

No cheese, no crappy annoying vocals, no filler just amazing tuneage. Melodies were nuts, vocals were kept to a minimum, driving basslines, so awesome. Trance, AT FW. Woooooooooooooooooooo.

Why is it that djs that play techno or housier/proggy stuff can do better than flat out cream of the crop trance djs?? Booooooooooo.

Well, I had a ton of fun and I also heard Vincent de Moor - Fly Away so nothing else really matters (lol)

Oh..and yea, it was ing hot.

I walked in RIGHT when Patterson went on, just as I wanted it. Don't care much for Tyas tbh. Boring, somewhat predictable and cheesy. Guess that's just my personal taste as I'm more of the SVD lover ;)
Walked in to a sauna, I knew right then it would be a struggle for me to stay and enjoy it. :nervous: But once I said my hello's I found a good spot at the back of the dancefloor with room to move and good sound quality (which makes or breaks a night imo) things got better. After making my way on stage is when I felt the party really get to that next level. Simon was definitely on fire dropping big bombs while Tyas would mellow it out/cheese it up lol. I totally agree with the crowd situation. Horrible! Thank God for friends! :D Met lots of nice people last night, made coming there even more worth while, you lurkers know who you are ;)

Amen. I wasn't there, but I agree on the SvD part :D His set on 5/1 was great. I hope he comes back soon.

I thought the transition process was extremely quick. The amount of things needed to be packed and moved was substantial. Apparently it takes 5 bouncers to move the right stack of speakers :toothless

Took awhile to get acid lounge going cuz Tim was ready to lose his mind lol. Got on the decks at 1245, played some b2b with Gow then closed it so he could get some rest for cz then the boat :haha: Good crowd in there :)

I'm not going to get into a big debate with you because as mentioned, you work for the club and I can respect that you have duties. To be fair, I don't think you're opinion should be taken seriously by anyone if you have that sort of approach (especially since people know you work for the club as opposed to being a regular clubber that goes there weekly) so its better you just don't post in these threads. Sorry, nothing personal, just what I think would be fair.

i was looking for the poster, didn't see it. no flyers outside either. i left just before patterson came on apparently, glad to hear i didnt miss much. tyas didnt really do anything for me, and i was pretty hammered so it really wouldn't have been hard to impress me. wish i heard him on the mic, lol. couldn't have been worse than chuckie at freedom, although at least he played a solid set
