True. There used to be some good 'gangsta rap' from Sacramento.

Also from Sacramento,

That comment wasn't just at you Zip. and yes, Technique is sick, don't necessarily agree with everything he believes philosophically, but him and I want the same end to this current world order, we are on the side of humanity, funny how tyranny brings polar opposites together. But again he doesn't really fit into gangster rap. The closest he comes is the brother lynch style of gore rap.

But even those have a deep as story beyond just being a gangster

most of his is either political/spiritual

or battle raps with a message

Now back to the regularly scheduled gangsta

My bad for misunderstanding, but I had just posted the most gaudy of the old school hip hop videos so I'm sure you can see why I thought that way :p

Dance with the Devil is ing deep, I wish I could wrap my head around some of the he's been through. I'm sure it's been rough.

The irony about Pac being revered as gangster rap is that he was a drama nerd that went to Juliard and took ballet.

The most gangster cats posted are probably brother lynch and x-raided. X has an entire album spit from a prison phone while he was serving a sentence for murder.

Being born and raised in South Central L.A, im abit West coast biased to say the least. lol. Anything with Nate Dogg rapping the corus/hook with either Snoop dogg/Dr.Dre/Ice Cube/Warren G/Tupac was an anthem.
