Hey TOTAs, I'm coming to TO August 20th for the weekend.. just looking for some advice from the locals. I checked out the Toronto visitor page, but didn't find any information about restaurants.

I hear so much about the curry houses in Toronto, I'll be staying on Yonge and Dundas at the Bond hotel, any good indian places around there? I'm talking cheap stuff for lunch kinda thing nothing too fancy.

I definitely wanna go out for a nice supper with the lady, I'm thinking steak house? Italian maybe? Any suggestions? $50-60 a head? Any hood Bring your own wine places? Doesn't have to be downtown or anything, I heard little italy has tonnes of good places though.

I wanna go to the Guv for sure because I've never been, but I wanna check out all the different rooms/clubs/lounges inside the complex. Do I have to pay seperate cover to get into each one, if I were to go on friday night lets say? Or is it one cover charge and you're free to roam around?

Any other suggestions, be my guest I wanna pack my itinerary with stuff haha. thanks in advance!

Don't go to Guv on a Friday

definitely don't go on friday....saturday is the night to be there. If you go in through the drink entrance then you will have access to all the rooms that are open. Just be sure to dress up if you want to go through the drink. If you go through the main room then you will have access to all rooms except the rooms on the second floor...I believe access usually opens up to the second floor after 3 am or so

Someone should be able to help you out with the Indian menu.

For a fancy Italian restaurant, check out Terroni on Queen west.

Pho Hung on Spadina for crazy Vietnamese dishes.

Lahore Tikka is the best Pakistani/North Indian restaurant in the city (in my opinion).

Is Footwork an afterhours? My girl's not really into EDM, so if it's full of sketch looking dudes ed off their minds on pills then I'll probably pass as I won't be rolling either. If it's a regular hours club with good house music I will check it out..

Guv on saturday eh? I really don't like Yoji and his hard dance/techno. She'll hate it ahahaha..

Any other suggestions for restos, or other cool spots to check out? Doesn't have to be EDM oriented.. thanks again for all who have posted already I appreciate it!
