No, it was an actual basil!

Its name was Jerry :(

Do you honestly call your plants pets and name them?

I thought I was the only one who did that ;)

:haha:
Lira
Yes! Despite the appalling survival rate of my pets from the Plantae Kingdom, I do give them names so I remember which is which. You see, I used to have a basil and a cactus. The cactus' name is Sabo (that's short for Saboten, or "Cactus" in Japanese - not related to Canadian nurses in any way), and the basil was called Jerry because basil in Portuguese is (Manjericão).

Pete, Brazil is roughly the size of the US without Alaska - would you be prepared to say the weather is all the same throughout the remaining 49 states? :p

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound sarcastic or anything :p

I live in a place where the vegetation looks like the savannah from the Lion King (really! The reason why there are no safaris around here is because the animals are just dumb rather than fierce and exotic :()

i learned something. I knew it was the biggest country in SA but didn't realize its almost a big as the US. with global warming the weather patterns are messed up everywhere, we've had one of the hottest summers on record.

Actually these extreme droughts are common here - I loved it when there were forced to stay at home when I was a kid because the weather was too dry and the public health people didn't want us to do sports.

Then they noticed that the poorer kids would all go play football in the street when given the chance, and they were more at risk than anyone else, so they decided to let the kids stay in school :p
