Yea they are pretty rare find in shelters, and most require a long waiting list

Hear them scream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4JOxB6SJSI at 5:35

edit: and if you decide to buy they are also pretty expensive at around $1200

I've always wanted a Siberian Husky.

My neighbor has a shep/husky mix that has one blue eye and one brown eye. It's one of the nicest dogs I've ever come across.

Different eye colours are quite rare, aren't they?

I'm not too sure, but it was pretty interesting looking. I had a teacher in 8th grade who had one blue eye and one brown eye, which was substantially less endearing.

I've got an english springer spaniel. She's crazy, destructive, obnoxious, bitchy, annoying but she's still my baby, and she's better with a football than frank lampard, actually having pace and trickery.

As for shedding, I wouldn't know, we laminated her :p

I have a black/white husky with blue/brown eyes, and shes adorable dog.
But the thing is, they need extremely huge space, and they`re not a flat/apartment dogs, in close space they go completely mental, i woudnt recommend it for you.

Labradors, Shepherds and Huskies are all great dogs. Gonna get one of those when I'm all settled and able to give them the time and space they need/deserve. Rottweilers are neat too.
