I remember when fat chicks used to be last call as you have already exhausted all your chances with anyone in a decent body but now a days they seem to know that when last call comes around they are going to get hit up which has gave them some sort of power and thus has made them picky these days.

My little cousin asked me the other day how come I'm so wise, I said it's because I made every mistake you can possibly imagine.
So I appreciate those mistakes even if things sucked at the time. Nothing is lost if a lesson is learnt. |

I thought this was about things that happened that you didn't appreciate until later. All of these so far are things you appreciated at the time but now appreciate more? (ing emo's).
For me it was trying to buy a house in London. It was the ideal place, just in budget, needed a little bit of work good investment and in a decent-ish area. Basically my one chance to set some roots and get on the property ladder. Put in the offer the day it went on the market and it got accepted.
After 6 months of negotiation and paper work which went nowhere, the woman selling the flat turned out to be madder than a bag of spiders, had 6 mortgages on it and could never sell it.
Was completely devastated at the time and seriously ed off with life etc.. Fast forward 1 year later, I'm living in LA, with an apartment 3 blocks from the beach, working on major hollywood films and having the time of my life.
So yes, that was a really thing that happened but later I really appreciated that it did because otherwise I would not be in the USA, with this life.
Oh and the other story is my brother in law, not being able to travel back to Europe due to a last minute work project. He was pissed at the time.
....until his proposed Airfrance flight disappeared in to the sea off the coast of Brazil. |

| My parents were trying to pressure me to buy a house at the height of the housing boom. Happy I didn't listen to them. Not that getting a house is a bad idea you just have to be ready to settle down and be comfortable with the financially responsibility. |

| Definitely my parents for providing a lot of discipline. I can't even begin to explain the I thought they pulled on me that was unfair when I was growing up... there were many years of contentious moments. But I can understand it now as I see several of the kids I was in high school with who had "the cool parents" who let them do whatever the they wanted.... so many of them are now irresponsible nothings who peaked out at 18 years old. So I really appreciate my parents more for their methods back then. |

Hey, if he's anything like me he'll contribute to society rather than detract from it. You won't see my son/daughter accepting unemployment checks or food stamps! ;) |
