| quite nice, might be something proper when it finishes. but where does the dnb part fit into this? |

heh yea, not quite sure where it really fits in, with more work maybe but i thought the drums gave it sort of a dnbish feel. maybe i was wrong :p

Throw in some wobble bass and you've got a bonafide dubstep hit. You'll be on your way to makin the big bucks in no time.
srsly though this sounds nice, I'm down. |

| Reminds me a bit of High Contrast, pretty neat. |

It could go either way to break-beat or chill. DnB tends to be around 160 BPM and this felt more like 120(?) or less. Given the vibe it has, I'm voting for break-beat.
The dominant kick could have come in much earlier. Once it did come in, with the rest of the arrangement, I had no trouble finding the vibe. The bass-line seemed a little under-represented. The snare and hi-hats felt a little harsh. The rhythm guitar was quite good.
Musically, it was sparse, but having listened to a couple of your tunes now, I know you tend towards that and it is not, at all, a bad thing. You definitely seem to be going towards a funk vibe with your music and it's always a pleasure listening to it.
Good job. |
