I love the benni benassi bass. I have always wanted to try and make my own creation themed off of it's sound. And now it's done (for now mwahaha) :D
Feedback and Critique is welcome :). (If you comment on the mix without downloading I'll...not listen to what you have to say :))
Mixed solely on a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 pros.
I'd say 130+ hours of work so far.
Master consists of Multiband Compressor, Limiter and Apogee UV22HR.

Id have to disagree with you evo, kick is fine, you just need to bring it out by side chaining other elements
for example if you plucks hits on the same beat as you kick, its gonna take some thump away.
I was expecting a really housey track, but this sounds way more melodic and trancey

I wanted it to be sort of a housey/trancey mashup as well. I like what house has to offer in terms of that heated dancy sound, and trance for the melodic aspect.
I won't give away my version, but I sorta composed this song into a bit of a story as well :) |

I can't comment too much on the mix atm as i'm listening on some really bad cans!
The Benassis bassline could use a little bit more ducking to get it pumping a bit, at times it feels a bit droney. Perhaps put in some frill notes (portamento'd) at the end of certain phrases to add a bit of interest, and also utilise the BPF that you've added at the end a bit more throughout the track. The bassline is almost the lead as well here and a few extra bits of shizzle will go a long way I think.
From what I can hear on these headphones you've got a decent selection of reverbs going on here.
