Cakewalk currently has all of their E-MU Proteus packs (2000, Planet Earth, Mo' Phat, PX-7 Drums, Virtuoso, and Xtreme Lead 1) for Dimension Pro/LE on sale for $19.99 each (normally $99 each) and it includes Dimension LE (normally $49) for free. DimLE includes 500 additional presets of its own, so you get a LOT of sounds and the E-MU classic waveforms for cheap. Sale ends August 30.

BTW, sorry, I don't have any of the E-MU sample packs, so I can't comment on them. I have Dimension Pro and have owned a few of the E-MU synths in the past, though, so the XL1, Planet Earth, and Proteus 2000 expansions have me tempted. If anybody buys any of these, I'd love to hear a review. |
