Hi guys. I just arrived in D.C. yesterday and now i'm wondering how the electronic music scene is doing here. Any good clubs? Any good dj's to look out for? And even, are there any places one might have a chance of playing?

If you can't answer any of these questions feel free to just tell me cool stuff about D.C. :gsmile:

Thanks.

My friend works there and they seem to have some good acts. The Vza is his name on here if you want to ask him.

mnmlife is the only thing I can mention until DI goes off hiatus.

Also Glow at Lima on Thursdays.

If you're into the larger nights, August and September kind of blow. Things pick up in autumn.

Bring some demo CDs and pass them off to a dj when his set is over. I would try and network as much as possible too.

heres another part of the dc forums you can visit for different dj's

but like someone said glow is where its at for edm right now.but other venues have started to get decent names also.its depends what kind of music your into.the next 2 weeks glow will have sean tyan out and then ronki speed.

as for dj'ing out there it can be hard to get your foot in the door out there cuz its kinda controlled by a core group of dj's but if your close to the area and got the skills you might get lucky.

plenty of trance addicts from here show up to glow for the big events so feel free to say hi!welcome to dc!

glow is a good club now? the last time i went there in 2003, it was pretty cheezy.

well it depends on what artist you like.i agree i feel they have fallen off in recent years, kinda going with artists that they thought were the hot ticket instead of sticking with what they know.i blame the closing of nations for that decision.cramming people in there when certain dj's play stopped me from going to the bigger events they host.

because of that i go less and less but i still enjoy a good act every now and again!looking forward to ronki speed!

It's like they turned that place around overnight.
