My Ableton machine is down, so busting out in Reason at the moment. Btw I'm gonna knock out some feedback once my bandwidth wants to improve itself. Comments and criticisms velkommin

Has an old-school vibe to it. I could hear it used in a sound-track.
Musically, I found it a bit repetitive. The mix was decent, though.

OK, cool.
You mean relying on that lead a bit too much? Or something that additional instrumentation could help? Maybe some variation in the drums and what not? Extra atmosphere? I personally think it could use all of that. Besides that, I have worked on finishing it but maybe you have different thoughts on this version.

Yeah - all of the above but I am really liking what you're doing with the new version.
Sounds like you tweaked the bass-line sound a bit, too.
The algorithmic evolution - kind of psy-ish - starting right around 2:55 or so. That's really cool. It sounds very dis-integrated - like the parts could fit together but aren't fitting together. It's not that they're asynchronous - just that they're each doing their own thing.
Love everything going on, percussion wise, in the back-ground. The only thing that stuck out was the tambourine panned mostly right - it may have been a little loud and didn't have a corresponding balance element on the left. It could be another element altogether and could be placed contrapuntally to the tambourine to build on the cadence. but... I'm probably nit-picking. Regardless of that, it was an interesting effect on my headphones. It sounded like it was above me, and to the right, in 3D space, opposed to just sounding like it was coming out of the speaker.
Where are you wanting to take it?
Evolve140
OK. I wanna take it to the candy shop and get some panties droppin'.
I want to see if I can get a nice kick/drum and make it a bit dancefloor presentable. I can see what you mean by the elements not necessarily fitting, but do you mean compositional?
I want a big build up and a release.

I see.
Compositionally: They don't fit together, but that's not a bad thing. The fact that they're not fitting together, while still remaining melodically/harmonically coherent and synchronous, builds tension. This song is kind of taking the form of what I'd call an algorithmic riddle. It lays out a very simple theme or proposition and then slowly builds on that theme's complexity. The parts that are surrounding it take on related themes of their own, making each more complicated as the song progresses. That seems to be how you got to the point I referred to, earlier @ 2:55.
If you want to really build and release, start fitting all the independent themes together in a way which makes sense to the listener. Do it a little at a time, though, until you're left with a very fluid, contiguous piece where all the pieces are actually working together. Call and response.
Right now, you have the question part of the riddle. The trick - or one trick which seems to be what you're going for - is to now provide an answer to the riddle and involving your audience in such a way that they can follow along. Do so by making adjustments to each part that takes their individual themes and aligns them into a single, unified theme. Does that make sense?
I have to go, now, but it's been an interesting exchange. See you, tomorrow.
Evolve140
Sure does. Sort of like how you get a lead up on the synths that tease your ear before the resolution of the cadence. I could align the elements in a more concerted way for the main meat, or come up with a new and concerted major theme. Is that what you mean?

I can see both versions working depending on their context. They do both feel like rough demos, although that's probably what they are on your standby Reason machine. They could both use some punch and for some reason I hear Eminem rapping over the first one!
In fact there's an LA rap feel about both of them.
