Anyone hear any rumors about WMC / Ultra 2011? Looking at hotels and plane tickets.. (pg. 2)

| Donnie I believe the article was in miaminewtimes.com...they said that they ate doing construction during that time so they wouldn't know if ultra could go on at the same time...something to that extent |

From what I've heard, Ultra has been bidding on places other than Miami for the music festival this year. One of the top candidate cities on the list was Tampa... |

| Isn't the main point of Ultra to be the big finale of WMC, which is automatically in Miami...? I wouldn't expect it anywhere besides Miami myself... |

Well yes I got hammered in the first 4 hours of being in Miami, then I ate a 5 hour old sandwich and that about did me in the rest of the trip going to parties with some type of dehydration/food poisoning with stomach issues.
It hit me hard wed. night at B.E.D and I was blacking out and just about passed out. Then Thursday I tried to make it in Nikki Beach but the line was crazy and my stomach starting acting up, then I missed my thur night party and fri I tried to make it to Ultra and got in, but every time the bass hit I felt like I was going to get sick so I left. my fri night party I never went and gave my friend my ticket to sell but he never got in and all his friends didnt either. sat i was all the way at ultra and just sold my ticket, same for my sunday parties, I went to the places and just sold them for what I paid for it and left back to my hotel.
I was able to sell most of my tickets though so I broke about even for the most part. I still was able to walk around and take pictures of South Beach as well as eat some good food later in my trip.
Going to try again all this again I really want to experience WMC and Ultra :)
This time I am not going to drink or eat much the whole first day, just get in plenty of water. |

| I dont see an issue with the venue this year either. From what I read seems like it will be there again. And most likely the event might be 18 and over so attendance will drop - easing the issues of last year. |

They do a couple of UMF's around the globe, that doesn't mean there still won't be one in Miami, which there will be.
They do UMF NYC, Brazil and I think one other spot |

| i can't wait. i had the best time last year for my first year, so i am super stoked to go again next year. as soon as the dates are officially announced im going to be booking the same place we stayed last year :) |

IMO Ultra can't afford to loose any space at Bicentennial. In 2010 there were more people then I have ever seen. And didn't Saturday sell out for the first time ever? I honestly can't think of another venue that could accomodate the amount of people. I would hate for anyone to spend tons of money on hotels and airfair until the dates are formally announced.
If Ultra were to invade Tampa lets say, would WMC still take place in Miami or then would WMC then move to Tampa? Don't the clubs close pretty early there? Things just wouldnt be the same. No matter what anyone says about WMC and Ultra, it generates tons of money for the Miami economy. I am sure there are people working really hard to keep it here. |
