This will probably not get me a job anywhere except at an adult cartoon show (adult swim?), but I seriously talk in these voices all the time annoying my friends. In fact I think in these voices when I post and read your posts in the c0r.

Not reely that good.
Someone will also want to know if you digitally altered your voices aka changed the pitch. The accents are good enough to get drunk ppl at parties to laugh but fall short of any professional standard. Some are better than others and some are just terrible.
They seem better suited for cartoons where accents don't need to be accurate, just as long as it fits the character and its funny. I think you are better off getting a real job and do voice overs for low or no budget cartoons that air on the internet aka youtube.

Yeah, that's what I'm going for. Bombastic, inaccurate and probably offensive cartoons.

But aren't they the same people anyway? I mean, both of them get drunk on the train and then leave their 40s behind as they follow teenage girls out of the train.

some of them were humourous, but most of them ended being like copies of characters that already exist.

Am I the only one who found that impressive? :conf:

Well yeah. Was I supposed to make up new voices?

yes, if you aren't a rich little who can copy voices very well, then the only way to add any value is originality.

So all those voices that narrate movies in previews are all completely original? They seem to sound all alike to me. That cheerful woman advertising soap sounds completely different than the other chick? They sound the same to me. But they made it because they have that "sound" that appeals to the type or product being sold, not originality. I honestly have no idea how to be original when any voice I make up someone will say, "well that sounds like so and so." Of course it will. There's 6.7 billion people on the planet. Chances are any voice I think I made up sounds like something someone did before.
Value is in diversity, not just originality. Unless of course you want a show with completely original voices that sound like nothing you've heard of before, which I bet you is impossible because some elitist will scoff, "omg that sounds like that other voice from that other show."
Anyway, let me know when you hear this "Southern tranny" voice I came up with in a commercial, movie, or radio show. Or the "lethargic Mexican" voice too for that matter. Those are my interpretations and bastardizations of actual voices I heard in reality, but not from anything commercial.
