They are always on time, at most =/- 15 mins. I'd recommend you to take the 9.45, better to be early than late when there's a clusterf*ck at the door (haven't been to Fur in years, things might have changed, although I doubt it). Plus, you can get a quick bite @ Union Station before you hit Fur if you're hungry, there are several places to choose from. |

About the bus stop in DC, both Bolt and Mega stop at the same place in the Convention Center parking lot at H st @ 11th st (I think), however, Bolt also does a stop at Union Station and it's a short cab ride to Fur. You could also take the red line 1 or 2 stops over to Gallaudet for a couple of bucks and it's 3 blocks or so, I've done it several times and it's perfectly safe UNTIL the clubs close and the streets are empty.
About diners, when I had to kill some time I would go to The Diner on 18th St NW in Adams Morgan (by the jumbo pizza joints), not so far from NE. The best 24-hour diner in DC hands down. I've been there several times with a bunch of the Glow-goers and the food is pretty good. If for some reason you end up in downtown Bethesda, Tastee Diner is pretty good, on Cheltenham St.

edit: FYI! The convention center parking lot DOES NOT HAVE COVER! I took the bus from DC a couple of weeks ago when it was storming and I got soaked, the drivers will not let you on the bus until they decide to board. |
i take megabus at least once a month to dc if not more...bolt bus not only

AC broke we had to keep stopping bc temps inside were well above 100 degrees
Over booked and allowed two people to SIT ON THE FLOOR
Never as cheap (in my experience) as megasbus
megasbus from what i can see....runs more frequently too so if something goes wrong you pay 5 bucks and jump the next bus
convention center- youre sure where all buses board? (ie mega and bolt) bc when i was there in may it was pouring and we sat under an HUGE covered thing....ive been there since but honestly have not paid any attention bc its not been raining since...im blonde i easily miss things i do not need ..ill have to try to remember to look again- im sure your right, im just surprised i missed it being gone |

bit of advise...when they stop (either break or to drop off pick up more people- IF they do) dont get off...just stay on the bus
thats how they stranded the others...in baltimore...they got off for the break and the bus didnt wait for them...they were running after the bus HAHAHAH (mean to laugh but it was a little funny) |
