They are both definitely favorites of mine, but I just don't like a lot of what they play these days. They were really great on the yacht during WMC though, and Ultra was pretty cool for a lot of big room boshy stuff.

Like many others, I used to love them, but don't feel what either is playing anymore. I went into Digweed's last Essential mix with high hopes, but couldn't get into it at all. I used to drive 6 hours each way to NYC to see them at Twilo regularly. Those were the days.

These two guys were in whole different league. There's no point in comparing them to today's djs.

I'm not as high on them as I once was, but they can still put together a pretty sick set. I think it's just a combination of my tastes and their music evolving in slightly different directions.

The biggest thing for me is the lack of risks or interesting avenues the two take while DJing these days. Just like most of the big prog guys of yesteryear, they play primarily only big room music with loopy techno sprinkled around.
It used to be you could see either of them play a good variety of dance music over the course of a long set, not so much these days. Too bad.
Digweed used to play great quirky and fun records, and house! What happened to digweed playing house?

Yea it's definitely not the same. I still listen to Digweeds Beirut set and EM from 2002. Music like that will never ever get old.
