I'm need to start burning my MP3's to CD now that my drive is simply jam packed of either that of Graphic Work.
I tried to burn one CD and I could only get 12 tracks on it?
I'm assuming NERO Burning Rom is turning it into a .WAV file b4 it actually bruns it?
What am I doing wrong?
Which format do you burn mp3's to disk so they're burned as mp3's? If thats the case I should be able to burn 40 some odd tracks onto one disk right? Please correct me if i'm wrong :gsmile:
Also, how would I go about setting it up so that once I burn the disk each track has the name etc running accross winamp or the cd player in the car....another program needed for that or does NERO automatically keep that info for you?

| I don't know about the last part of your post, but it sounds like your burning the cd's as audio cd's. In Nero, use the wizard to set up your cd, and choose data cd instead of audio cd when you're prompted. then you can choose what files you want on your cd from your hard drive. Because mp3's are a lot smaller than audio tracks u shud be able to fit a lot more on. This'll burn the mp3's on to the cd as mp3, altho you won't be able to play them on a cd player unless it's an mp3 cd player. Does that make sense? Anyway hope it helped :D |

Yea, makes total sense, thanks :gsmile:
I was actually about to try the DATA CD burn just now, figured it was only one disk and worth a try even if it didn't work.
At least this way its now clarified ;)
If anyone knows the last part, would be nice to know, gonna wait a little bit b4 i try my first burn in case there's an answer for it :gsmile:
Thanks again!

well that's just simply called 'tagging' your track. I think in Winamp you right click the file, and click 'file info'. Then just type in the information in each of the fields, and whenever you play your track, the info will be shown. I use the MMJB which totally owns Winamp in every way as far as tagging tracks and organizing libraries (and every other area IMO) is concerned. It also has a built in burner so you can record your playlists.
Sorry for getting off track there, but you just need to enter the tag information for it to do what you want. Pretty simple really....

try zipping (www.winzip.com) or RARing (www.winrar.com) they are just added compression so you can fit some files on your cd ;).
You might find these utilities at download.com as well. :D |

compressing your mp3's will not save space, because they are already compressed :) |

| yeah..u cant compress an already compressed file...exactly..mp3s if ziped will stil have the same size but another extension..so its pointless... |

If you want the track name to appear on your CD player in your car, you have to enable CD-TEXT in NERO
Also, your car unit has to be capable of playing CD-TEXT cds |

I'm an idiot.
I'm guessing you have a mp3 cd player in your car right?
If so, disregard my last post |
