[Acoustic] "Covering Ground" - Mia Valo; I hope no one minds....

...that I posted a slow song with no synthesizers or drums. I know some of you guys love Mia's voice as much as I do, so I figured I'd share this track. It's a vocal & piano song featuring and co-written by Mia. It's the first of three piano pieces featuring each of the singers - the next two will feature Aliciya and Heather.

Anyway, if you enjoy it, download it.

Most accomplished Dave! :)

For those of you that are confused, this is called a song.

It's a series of notes that are arranged together to form something known as a melody. The singer often harmonises using different notes in the same (or sometimes even different) scale to form a pleasing combination of notes!

For some reason the voals remind me of Carly Simon.

Excellent song

Song? I don't think so. A song consists of a loop, maybe two, played over and over again while tweaking a bunch of stuff to make it interesting. This, wrongly placed in this amateur forum, sounds a little too professional and seems to have too many dimensions to be a song.

Nice try, but this is the epitome of over-production and not enough drum-machine. :toothless

Seriously, nice job to Mia and Cryo. Definitely down-loaded. Thank you.

You guys are funny! Thanks for the listens and compliments. You guys would probably be shocked at how quickly it came together. I literally spent more time on the duduk solo last night than the rest of our composing, recording, and mixing time combined!

I've found that some of the smallest parts will take up disproportionate sums of time, too.

I agree man, this does not even sidechain?

p.s. excellent work, i recently heard another track by you with this soothing vocalist and it is fantastic.

Actually, I think she sounds slightly like Dido. I would consider that an awesome compliment.

The Duduk sounds great! What did you use for it? I love how you've granted it time to stand out, and the vocal time of its own.

This one I'm definitely grabbing. Every slow tune you post is really quite nice and easily worthy of many listens! Well done to both of you guys. Keep it up.

By the way, I'm making great progress on my remix of Forever. I can't wait to let you hear it.

Hmmmm...I suppose I could've sidechained the duduk. ;)

I believe you're probably referring to "Trials"? Yeah, she did an incredible job on that track as well.

I've always thought that her voice resembles Dido's as well - Love both of their voices!

The duduk is from the EWQL RA library, but I don't recall exactly which duduk one I used (there are half a dozen or so in RA).

Can't wait to hear your "Forever" remix!
