Good female DJs? (pg. 10)

See, this is why I'm selective about the events I attend and stopped being so neurotic about music...kills the joy of it. This year in Detroit was the first time in a long time where I'd heard a handful of DJs canning the same tunes, which was how I became bored with the scene many years ago and stopped going out as much.

Wonny would hate to hear me play, I only play dead hits. new tracks. They need to be tested to death.

For someone who's "always keeping up", he should know that BIS Radio is not a podcast meant to showcase upfront hits anyway. So there's that.

Well, I can't stop being neurotic about music but I've always been quite selective about what parties I go to, maybe even more so now. I only go if there's someone playing that I know will deliver fresh/interesting/quality selections.

I'm not a regular listener but every time I see a DJ I know/rate on there it's upfront selections or at least old/90s stuff.

Btw I know my standards for podcasts are high, that's why I skip through most of them and only really listen to a select few.

Yeah so back on topic, I quite dig the mix and really enjoyed her live. Too bad I missed the other broad. :/

I caught them all. Olivia was first on when I got there. She was told to stop her set after a bit I think to move up or sound cut out. My memory is a bit faded but if I recall she started off slow, I think I heard some electro at some point. After that though it's a haze

Yeah, would have liked to get there a little earlier... At least I was able to cut the line, muhahahaha. Lol @ you not knowing about the bar at the back lolololol.

Omg that was fail. But I went to the loo and saw a huge line but wasn't sure what it was for so I just walked in LOL. Only after reading this post I realized.. I kept ordering rum and cokes in huge amounts to avoid the line, and save you and my friend some time. No one wanted rum and coke. I think I had 10-12 there

Wish we had more parties like that. They're really doing some cool stuff there for Luminato.

Lol the Toronto warehouse project thing coulda had loads of potential, until I saw it's all the residents I avoid. No idea when I'm going to a proper music jam next.
