As you all know, Twilo just threw a DJ competition and turned a yesterday unknown DJ into an up and coming superstar DJ over night. I was there to witness this legendary spin off last night and all of the DJ's who entered the contest spun a brilliant set. I would have to say that DJ Glenn B won the contest hands down and I congratulate him for winning the contest. I am so there for any of Glenn's future gigs at Twilo as this guy was by far one of the best dj's that I have ever heard and I have been clubbing since 1988. The night was an absolute success as the place was packed for nearly the whole night (on a Wednesday) and had support from rolling stone magazine, urb, mixer mag, red bull, just to name a few. Some big time DJ's were there to witness this great event such as Danny Tennaglia who was just blending in with the crowd and having a great time. I think that this contest is a huge leap for the underground house/trance scene and Twilo set a standard of unity and professionalism and I feel that other clubs have no choice but to follow there lead. I am hoping that other contests like this one will continue at clubs around the world and I am prowd of Twilo as they used the power that they have in a way that will go down in clubbing history. I wouldn't be surprized to see clubs like Gate Crasher and Cream following this act of thoughtfulness. Twilo realizes and are so many unknoticed DJ's in this world that can not only keep up, but surpass the big names when it comes to talent. I don't want to take anything away from the big guys such as the briliant Digweed and Tennaglia, but let's face it. There is so much talent out there and by clubs such as twilo throwing these contests will benefit everyone from the clubs on a financial level, to the unknoticed dj's who need to be heard, to the fans of the music who demand and need to hear this unknoticed talent. I just want to take this time to thank Twilo and I would be interested in hearing all of your views regarding this topic. Do you feel that this was a good or bad thing that Twilo did and should the other world renowned clubs follow there lead?

damn thats really dope. yes i think other clubs should do that too. ive heard many amatuer djs who are soooo good and just dont have the right connections or whatever but should have something like this to go and get their music out there. . they hold try outs for pop stars on tv. our clubs should help support our djs of the future.:)
