Terrafusion artist album - Lost Jaded Justice

hi all :D

i've decided to 'release' my debut album for free after deciding not to chase the label route or pay to get it in stores, and thought i'd post it here as this forum has been kind to my stuff in the past :)

it's uplifting trance, mostly, with a few chilled moments. nothing too high-brow but hopefully nothing too disposable either - i put a lot in to giving each track its own personality & making it work in an album context. i don't expect it to be a massive hit in the clubs or anything, just hopefully a pleasant listen for those into this kind of sound.

direct link to the full thing: http://terrafusion.isoterra.co.uk/l...d%20Justice.mp3

cue file: http://terrafusion.isoterra.co.uk/l...d%20Justice.cue

or you can check out more info & download the individual tracks from this site i knocked up, or view/share it on youtube if you so wish!

hope you enjoy :)

I don't understand why nobody has commented on this. This album is really nice. great flow through the album. Especially in the second half, where it turns a bit more towards psytrance, I just can't stop listening!
thanks for sharing this great album!

Mainly because I've somehow managed to completely miss this.

Will take a listen as soon as I can.

Excellent opening - reminds me of a film opening - I can imagine thew rainy dark streets in SE7EN for some reason. Love those cinematic pan moved here n there sounds.

A slow beat has just begun - this makes it a bit naff and for me and spoils the atmosphere as it's such a typical beat you'd get in a film with this music - Mel Gibson cruising the city lights in a drunken sombre state / or bladerunner - sorry mate. If your'e going to introduce a beat with this quality of orchestral landscape it needs to really step up to it and for me must be original or it becomes one of many. Ambient is so hard to pull off without it sounding tired once a beat is introduced thats why so little ambient chimes with me.

Lovely flow otherwise - you have great skill it's clear - transition are perfect.

I enjoyed the rest - hat off to you for the shear voulme of work here and the way it all blends as one journey. Again - the slower beat stuff is ok but very generic. I had to rush the listen - not enough time in the day and all that.

Cheers for this though.

just as good as that preview you gave us a few months back. going to listen to this a few times this week.

I really appreciate the effort you've put into this.

The opening is really nice, very Chicane-esque. I didn't really get the "generic" feel from the downbeat stuff. In fact, I kinda hoped the opening sequence would had gone on for longer before entering the faster paced stuff.

"Twilight Premonition" bothered me quite a bit - not because it's a bad track by any means but it just sounds disturbingly like older Lolo tracks with the synths and especially the percussion/drums. I just couldn't get over the idea.

"Far From Earth" is a bit happy for my tastes, but it's in a sort of old-school way that it doesn't bother me too much. "The Fifth" falls into the same category - pretty nice overall but I cannot really see the connection between the track and your description of it on your site. And something about the key changes just bothers me...

"Forge City" is one of the clear standouts here, mainly because of the breaksy elements and darker undertones you've used here. This is where the album really gets going and, TBH, is more like what I was expecting after the intro.

"Reasonstainment" is really rather excellent and (surprisingly enough) my favourite by far - I like the slightly understated breaksy feel here, it's something I could never quite achieve myself the way I wanted. Trance/breaks crossovers have always been my soft spot.

"Never Meant To Be" is placed perfectly on the tracklisting, a welcome change of pace and a nice meditative piece before sliding into "Resonance Cascade" which has a really cool atmosphere and builds beautifully. Loving the break in the middle and the very subtle psy-influences.

"Amen Arnhem" follows nicely by being a nice peak-timer without succumbing to the overstated happiness of the tracks presented earlier on the album. The only things I don't really care for are the bass drum which just sounds odd and the flanger/phaser effect which went out of date over a decade ago.

"Beyond (Reprise)" serves as a nice closer, though I haven't heard the original so I can't really compare.

Overall I think this is a very solid album - and this really does feel like a proper album unlike the mediocre bunch of radio edits most trance artists think is an album. I enjoyed the second half more than the first but that's really just personal preference...
