Greetings from London, as I write to you from Maxi Jazz's living room (the singer from Faithless). Would you believe we got thrown out of a Nando's at dinner? Said we ordered 'too late' to be given dine-in priviledges, even tho a guy sitting next to us received his food 50 seconds b4 us (but had ordered 20 min's earlier, so he was ok...What's the logic in that??? So we left, pissed, and then Maxi is accosted for an autograph by a fan, which he was happy to oblige her. It still trips me out every time that happens when I'm around him. :)
Less then 38 hrs til Godskitchen Global Gathering. I'm supposed to be on Joy's guestlist, with VIP priviledges, so hopefully I'll come back with some good footage and stories for you all.

Fri. night went to Gatecrasher event at club Heaven, feat. Oakey & Scott Bond. Oakey played the best set I heard him spin so far out of the 5 times I've seen him, & Bond ripped it up too. The main room was PACKED, & like a sauna. Unfortunately, they have shirtless sweaty men here too, but it's not a sketchy or evil crowd. Finally discovered a side room broadcasting the same music, but it had more space to dance & air conditioning. Had a blast! People here are so friendly.
So, we went to GKGG 2002... what a party! Had a huge TA meetup at the event, and we were assisted in this meetup with our friend DJ_MDMA (Lam) and his mobile phone. On a side note, would u believe I ran into Halo20 in my hostel the morning of the event??? All I heard in our croded lobby was: "Tell me you're going to see Picotto today..." Was I EVER shocked! He also went, but separately from us, so he missed the meetup. I was with Izzy from Texas, & Redeye & Twilogoddess from NY. I had VIP access thanks to Joy, but he missed various planes on his journey over, so he didn't arrive til after 10pm. I had a wonderful, tho short, time hanging out with him (he had to leave immediately after his set at 5:45am), and I got to be onstage for his set, taking pics & shooting video. People I spotted in VIP: Nick Warren, AJ Simpson, Guy Ornadel, Armin, Ferry, & Fleming, & spoke with Mauro, Scot Project, John Kelly, & Dumonde.
Sets (or portions there-of) that I saw- John '00' Fleming, Signum, Dumonde, Ferry, Armin, Oakey, Mauro, Joy Kitikonti, Johan Gielen, Derrick May, & Speedy J (tho not sure if it was really him). I didn't even step foot into the Sundissential tent, or the Colours arena, or got to go on any of the amazing rides, which I wish I had.
Anyways, there's too much to write about now, and this internet costs 1£ per 15 min's, so I gotta keep it quick. Read the UK thread for more reviews, & I'll try to post my pics next week after Dance Valley.
In the group pic, I'm wearing the dread pony tails, Twilogoddess is in the yellow SpongeBob shirt, Redeye to the left of her, DJ_Mdma has the green halo on his head, & Dumonde Trancer has the blue arm sleeves holding up the sign- too many others to name.

In Amsterdam now, at a Bulldog cafe, using their overpriced internet stations, as it is the only one open that I can find at this hour. Been in town since Wed. Been hitting way too many coffee shops! Been hard to find a good trance party in town prior to the big event tomorrow, but hopefully we'll have some luck tonight. Gonna have dinner with a few TA's tonight- DJ_MDMA is coming over from London, Redeye & Twilogoddess are already here, & we'll be meeting the infamous Miss Proximus tonite at dinner (another female BXR fan!).
Anyways, tomorrow is Dance Valley- I've been picking up stacks of the flyer booklets to bring home to people. Nature 1 & Mysteryland also have nice flyer booklets (yes, the parties are so big, the flyers have to be booklets).
Maxi Jazz should be in town now visiting friends of his here, so hopefully we'll be able to catch up with each other today or at DV tomorrow.

We didn't get to the TA meetup at this event- it would have been so special. We spent way too long waiting around at the train station for Redeye & Twilogoddess, who apparently had gone ahead without calling us. The only Dutch TA's we met were Miss Proximus & New Wave, & they're great.
I had a great time there, despite the weather, mud, and the couple hours in the beginning of my mushroom trip (which was a bad idea to do in a foreign land, on a cloudy day, in a pit of mud listening to the likes of Andy Farley, by the way...!). Somehow I managed to see almost everyone on my list that I wanted to see, but as usual with these big events, u can never spend a long time listening to just one act, cuz there's usually someone else to see at the same time.
My favorite tune of the day goes to Scumfrog for his remix of "Days Go By" by Dirty Vegas, which he played for the 1st time ever at DV. His parents were also dancing in the crowd with us, which was so cute. I was happy to catch some DJ's that will be near impossible to see in North America (Tom Harding, Yoji Biomehanika, & Umek). Also managed to catch parts of Ferry, Armin, Johan, Sasha, Sister Bliss, Scot Project. I encountered lots of very friendly people at DV (thank you for making my day), & met a guy from Dallas, TX (thanks for the free cd). We even ran into a friend from New York when we were taking the train home (small world!!).
Luckily, there were no nightmares with the transportation this year (that I know of, as I don't speak Dutch, so who knows what else has been written about this party? ;) )- we were just surprised with the long walk to the event. That party was HUGE! I've never seen so many people so closely together at an outdoor event like that.

I'm in Israel now, trying to find out more info on where DJ Yahel is playing this week- crossing my fingers that I'll be able to attend. At the end of the month, Yahel is playing with Tiesto & Astral Projection (which I'll miss).
