I have to agree with GHB, I was falling asleep. At the moment I just needed more speed. I guess it was ok for the ones in a k hole, but I honestly didn't see the appeal of the set when all I wanted was to dance my ass off.
So great to see everyone! Was a surprise to see Kels there with the usual techno degenerates :)

I wasn't...Alexi and Taimur came back on at 11 and starting playing more banging stuff again. Then some of the neighbors complained and the cops showed up and shut down the party around 11:30-11:45. I had heard they were supposed to go until 2.
Nicolas wasn't bad, I could listen to it when at home, it was just too slow when you'd been up all night and still want to keep moving in order to help stay awake. |

yea i left a lil after 11ish...on my way out, 2 rabbis pulled up in a van and sat there for a moment in TOTAL disbelief! i figured either they mightve taken the wrong turn OR they had came to what shouldve been a typical normal working day to find- us, a bunch of degenerates :haha:
id bet my pennies they had something to do with the police showing up. |

haha you are tripping bc you were dancing in our little circle right before I left! hahah! Nice meeting you finally! I was there for about 5 hours or so.....I left at 7ish. My energy was actually pretty good and I was having a great time, but I couldnt pass up on splitting a cab with 2 peeps back to the city. Turned out to be a $50 fare, so I am really glad I did it TBH! haha! EZ and their $10 drinks emptied my wallet after 2 days!

I took the F train back home, only 5 stops to the LES and I felt like walking and seeing people on the streets, so it wasn't bad at all for me. |

I had a good time.
Staff was nice, people were loose and cool.
The Sascha Funke was great. I left at 6 am and didnt hear Ellen Allien come on.
The speakers crapped out a few times but besides that the sound was deffintly solid. |

This party was so dope! The music was great. Other than Ellen Allien she was a wreck. LOL. She played some good tunes but I'm not sure she can DJ. Her mixing was WTF and she was hitting buttons and fliping knobs like her plane was about to crash. There was obviously no thought behind what she was doing.

I thought the 1st part of her set was good. The last part was boring and had no plot. So much better when Alexi came on...then the Nicolas Jaar set made me wish I was in a K-hole, as I've already commented. Way too slow. |

I would prefer Jars set in the dark or night time. I enjoyed when Mr C played pitch down @ WMC but the upstairs @ the pickle was incredibly dark.
Alexi kicked major ass. Ellen's set at times was wack, especially the ending. The second she got off it's like the music just got way better and you saw the crowd get more hyped. |
