Effects and finishings bits and bobs for tunes??

Ok, I have Logic 9, and I have just about finished a couple of tunes. I am looking for some white noise effects, similar to the ice cannon sound if that makes sense.
I also was would like some suggestions for good instrument and effects software to add to my library`??

| Have you tried white noise from the logic synths? ES1 I believe is a good one that gives great results |
