| Does anyone know how I can convert an .mkv file to a format that can be burned to a DVD on a Mac without loss in quality? |

Thanks mate, but I don't see a link to download. There's only a link to a forum that probably has the link but I have to join in order to see it. I really hate signing up to forums I'll never again use in my life.
Do you have another link? :p |

http://www.3r1c.eu/mkv2vob/mkv2vob.exe
1. get darwine from http://www.kronenberg.org/darwine/ (or latest at the moment http://www.kronenberg.org/download.php?d...-day.co.jp )
2. copy darwine folder and TriX to Applications
3. run trix and open the "terminal" app (inside utilities in applications folder)
4. in trix, tick "visual basic 6 runtime" and "windows scripting host 5.6" and hit install
5. in that terminal shell, after trix has run, type this:
# curl -O http://www.3r1c.eu/mkv2vob/mkv2vob.exe
# wine mkv2vob.exe INSTALLDIR="C:\\mkv2vob"
in order to run mkv2vob use this command in the "terminal" app:
# /Applications/Darwine/Wine.bundle/Contents/bin/wine ~/.wine/drive_c/mkv2vob/mkv2vob.exe
Until we have a more "robust" system for wine (such as crossover has ...) we need to do this "by hand" - maybe crossover works too... don't know yet
You can also make a shell script with that line above, and double click on it. Just create a file with that line inside, do "chmod +x that_file" in terminal, and you should be able to double click that file in order to run mkv2vob. |
