Ok not sure if this is happening everywhere but KW is special with a building anual COPS and Gown contest going on - or perhaps not that but there has been bad press the last 4 or so years.
Anyway the Governor General (due to take office on the 1st of October) is also (still is was, no idea...) the president of the University of Waterloo (not sure if this relates) - the PM was also here on the 2nd (and has made far more recent trips (not sure if the 16 votes seperating the riding last election have anything to do with that)
Point being cops are EVERYWHERE THIS past week. I went out for a small jog yesterday and today.
Tonight I passed two cops parked on the way on a side street (next to nothing there) passed two cars on a secondary street - one with lights on - heard sirens earlier today (and sirens yesterday)
THEN I think I hit an unmarked car and since I was running at 3am in the middle of no where where a huge bandana on that looked like a middle east intifada op I waved -- thought i recognized the cop then sorta quickly just basically stated nevermind I thought you were a cop (as I was explaining I was just out for a jog (and did't wanna spook any cops due to all the stuff happening right now)
ANYWAY to make a long story short -- IF YOU ARE IN KW (waterloo region) about 1hr from toronto going west - the cops are out in force, and I'm not sure when it is going to.
There have been police chases etc.. ongoing you can't go outside without seeing cops - and so far every relation of bein ghoutside and many people I know have experienced the same thing, including flashing lights and high speed cop cars. I'm not sure how much is an act but is going down in Kdub. |

no i believe him there are a lot of cops around the past couple days. as i was reading this 2 blew past my window with sirens on full out down ottawa st
didnt really click in but that makes sense why lol

| every year round this time the cops come out full force. frosh week starts tomorrow for laurier and UW and ive always noticed a load of cops around the city for the first two weeks of september. its probably something to do with this...just don't drink on the side walks |
