I'm currently using ableton as my main daw , i noticed that my tracks are bit shallow in high frequencies aria , seems like it's lacking those high frequencies , i slapped eq on my hihats , didn't work much , sounded like pushing it instead of something natural , any help would be great
nortek

and post a sample

As has been said, this could be due to so many reasons. Post a sample to explain what you mean exactly.

high shelf at 9k, boost it till you hear it.

If you don't hear it, your hat samples are .

Also consider adding in a more noisy synth to make the most of that range up there.

lowering everything else doesn't seem to like a good thing to do , it will damage other parts
nortek
its up to you, id do that. u cant continue rising everything thats unaudible. btw i listened to the sample. theres not lacking any treble imo. but rather midrange. what are you monitoring on?

What exactly is wrong here, other than the kick has quite the transient? The treble in the first section is fine, and could just be turned up slightly. In the second part you seem to diminish the hats, and there's certainly room for another open hat or similar. Just put more hat samples in there and you should be fine.

Also remember that unless you've normalised this, you're not going to have enough room to add any other parts, let alone master it. Turn the volume down!

Maybe check the EQ, 90 percent of my problems are always fixed with EQ.
