This is from http://www.atu2.com :

We're finally hearing rumors out of Dublin about the new songs U2 is working on during the current recording sessions. Song titles reportedly being tossed around now are "All Because Of You," "Origin of the Species", and "Electrical Storm." That last song was mentioned by Bono as far back as December, 2001, in a Spin magazine article. "Origin of the Species" is another familiar title, and may be a leftover from the All That You Can't Leave Behind or even POP sessions. We're also hearing that artist/producer William Orbit is currently working with the band in some producing capacity. Orbit co-produced Madonna's Ray of Light album, and has also produced for No Doubt as well as remixing tracks by the likes of Blur, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Prince, and many, many more. More rumors and gossip as we hear it.

If this is true, I expect this album to resemble a cross between achtung baby/zooropa/All that you can't Leave behind.

Also, if he is involved with U2, perhaps a trance remix of a U2 tune like the New Year's Day remix?

BTW, this is kinda trance related but if it isn't in the right forum, sorry.

sounds like people will either love it or hate it...

me personally, i never liked that dave mathews's tiesto remix, or the radio head's remix of everything is in the right place, or even sara mclachlan's songs except for silence. i guess we'll wait and see

Well, yeah, Rock is kinda hard to translate into Trance, even though they're pretty similar...

So rock remixes either rule (PvD of U2 and Ferry of U2 for example), or suck (IMO Tiesto of DMB, William Orbit of Limp Bizkit)
